I am a Senior day student from Winston-Salem North Carolina and I have been on the Sisters of the Motherboard for three years now. Robotics has many aspects that interest me, most of all the programming and building aspects. I have been a programmer for Sisters of the Motherboard all three years and I have really enjoyed learning and using java to code the robot, however last year, in the midst of Covid-19 we were short some teammates so I helped out with the building aspect of robotics and I really enjoyed that as well. Overall, I love the supportive community and team spirit that Salem robotics provides because it has allowed me to grow as a person and a student.
My name is Lillian and I am a freshman day student from Winston-Salem. I am new to Robotics entirely, and am a part of the social media team! I joined Robotics to learn how to navigate social media accounts. I was nervous at first, but after a while I got closer with my teammates and now enjoy working with some of them on promoting our socials.
Hi! I’m Andreanna, an 11th grade boarding student from North Bergen, NJ. This is my third year in robotics. While I have previously been a part of the building subgroup of my team, this year I have been taking a different approach by getting involved with social media and marketing! It has been very fun to see the growth of our presence online and aid with even more growth in the future! Along with my fellow social media team members, we have been consistently keeping our social media and website fresh and up to date with news and documentation of our journey this year!
I am a sophomore day student here at Salem and a Star Wars expert. This is my second year on #7444 and I am the main builder this year, so I've been working with our current robot and helping our Robolearners all about what goes into making a competition-ready robot. I love robotics because of the creativity that building requires and getting to work with really fun, complicated challenges and find ways to conquer them.
I'm a 10th grade boarder at Salem Academy. I'm most interested in the building of the robot and CAD. I am also interested in learning how to code. I participate in CAD and building.
I am Lola, a freshman day student at Salem Academy. I am a part of Sisters of the Motherboard, working currently as a builder. While it is my first year apart of this FTC team, I am already learning a lot about coding, CAD, and building. I am interested in gaining more building experience, as well as learning how to code competition robots. I am excited for the competition season this winter and am looking forward to a successful 4 years on this team at Salem Academy!
In robotics I am interested in working together in order to make a functional robot. I am mainly excited because I will get to learn more about code and I will work on one part of the whole picture. I love the team aspects as well as the individual aspects of robotics. I am particularly interested in coding and building!
I am a 4-year boarding student from Mount Airy, North Carolina, and this is my second year on the robotics team. Though you won't find me working directly on the robot, you can find me behind the screens focusing on marketing and communications for the team! I help manage our social media and assist in fundraising.
This is my first year on robotics so I've been trying different things, but so far I've really enjoyed coding and building. I also like biking, baking, and camping.
I am interested in the coding part of the robot. I have had some experience with coding in 8th grade and wish to continue. Programming and fixing errors in a robot interest me and I wish to pursue programming in the future. I never really tried building before but from what I've experienced in robotics it seems interesting.
